Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This is my first attempt at the "Not Me Monday's" so here we go...

I most certainly have NOT been planning to redecorate our kitchen for a few weeks now and did NOT use my whole weekend to take the plans into action.

I did NOT drag my girls around with me to a million different stores all night Friday night while searching for the "perfect" decorations to hang up and for the supplies I needed to make those decorations, nope NOT me. Macie absolutely did NOT have a hysterical break down in the car in the parking lot of Michael's because she saw Chipotle and was STARVING because it was already 7pm and they hadn't eaten, she would never do anything like that.

I did NOT then turn around and drag my hubby AND the kids around town some more Saturday to take back some of the things I had purchased the night before, to then again change my mind and purchase different things. I would NEVER subject them to that kind of shopping torture.

I then did NOT proceed to stay up until 3 am Saturday night/Sunday morning in my desperate attempt to completely paint and finish organizing the kitchen so first thing after church I could make my lovely hubby hang everything up. I would certainly NEVER make a "to-do" list for him without his permission, nope NOT me!

As you can see I did NOT have a busy weekend full of painting and decorating and do NOT feel guilty for letting my hubby enjoy all the time he got to spend with the girls during my quest for perfection.

See that wasn't so hard, go ahead and give it a shot yourself. What have you NOT been partaking in this past week? Don't be shy :)

Eye Doctors and 18 month check ups

So yesterday and today have been busy days with plenty of doctors visits so it seems... Yesterday Macie and I had our annual eye doctor appointments. Mine was pretty uneventful, the usual prescription change and contact order. Macie's on the other hand was a bit discouraging to say the least. The doc found that her brain is starting to ignore her left eye completely so she is barely using it which is NOT good. When she started wearing glasses in Kindergarten he was able to get her to see 20/40 with her glasses on out of her left eye, now he said he is doing good to get her to see 20/70 out of her left eye, YIKES!! Apparently her brain is totally ignoring the left eye and is starting to act like it doesn't even exist. He referred us to a pediatric optometrist to discuss correcting this problem as quickly as possible so that it doesn't become any worse. He suggested that the specialist will do some "vision therapy" with Macie to get her brain to start recognizing her left eye again so we will see next Wednesday what they decide to do for her.

Moving on to the other daughter Addaline... she had her well child 18 month check up today and all is well with her. She weighed a whopping 24 lbs 8 oz and is in the 60th percentile for weight and height wise she is 31 inches and in the 50th percentile. Her head circumference is in the 92nd percentile, WHOA, that girl has got a big brain :)

Other than the appointments our world has been pretty dull these last few days which is OK with me! With all the wind from the storms here the other night Gerrad is still doing "damage control" outside since our gazebo blew apart to smithereens and our fence got knocked over a week or two before this last storm and is waiting to be put back up. That poor guy can't seem to catch a break with "home improvement" projects!

I hope everyone is still praying for little Stellan as he is still in pretty critical condition. Please head over to MckMama's blog to keep up with the little guy.

Please Pray...

I know I'm new to this whole blogging thing and have like 2 readers but I would still like to ask you all to pray for baby Stellan. He is in the PICU experiencing SVT and needs our prayers.

First Blog Posting...

So after becoming hopelessly addicted to reading other peoples blogs I decided I should start my own. So with that being said I threw all caution to the wind and here we are...

I'll just give you a brief run down of myself and my wonderful hubby and kiddos. My husband Gerrad and I met in the summer of 2001 fresh out of high school (for me) and hit it off right away. We're now married with two magnificent daughters who I wouldn't trade for the world. Macie is our oldest (6), whom both our families still refer to as the "baby" since she was the first born grandchild on both sides; she's full of laughter and has a smile that will reel you in from the first time she flashes it. Addaline is our youngest daughter (18 months) who is definitely the rebel of the 2 girls, she's definitely going to give us a run for our money but is as cute as can be so that works to her advantage. My husband and I both work outside the home so the evenings and weekends are spent playing with the girls and spending time together (which is my favorite part of the day). I like to think we're just a typical family that does all the normal things and lives life to the fullest each and every day.

I guess that's all for now. I'll try to keep this blog as up to date as possible... from reading MckMama's blog http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ I have decided I will definitely be participating in her "Not Me Monday's" every week so stay tuned for those as well!!
