My Girls Likes to Party Dance All the Time

I'm sure most of you by now have heard the Party Rock Anthem song by LMFAO. Addaline, girl is OBSESSED with the song. Every time it comes on, she starts busting a move.

For your viewing pleasure....

This girl is serious about her dance moves. Macie was standing next to me copying Addaline and trying not to laugh. I had to finally stop recording her because I couldn't stop laughing (hence the muffled laughing at the end). I have NO idea where she gets her dance moves, sometimes I wonder who is teaching her to dance like this, because I can't remember the last time I danced using the pelvic thrust! I hope y'all get as big of a kick out of this as I did. This girl keeps us on our toes pretty much all the time. Thank goodness her older sister is so easy going, I don't think I could handle 2 like this!

They Say It's Your Birthday....

It's MY birthday too!!

This weekend was spent celebrating my birthday, which was great. It makes today feel a little anti climactic. Friday afternoon Gerrad came home from golfing and decided we were going to make the hr drive to Kansas City and eat at my FAVORITE restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory- HELLO HEAVEN!! We met one my best friends there, with her sweet son, and had a wonderful evening. AND... G gave me my birthday gift from him, an IPAD. What?! I felt like I had died and gone to heaven, seriously. I've been carrying on about this ipad business for, I don't even know how long. He's the BEST!! I failed at taking my camera this weekend, so here are a few courtesy of my phone.

Come to momma!!! I don't think I'm the only one in the house loving this new gadget, I'm pretty sure Mr. Hall has played with this more than I have. He claimed before that we didn't need one, and that it was just an 'oversized cell phone,' but let me tell ya, he's OBSESSED!

Saturday evening we went to a benefit for The Boys and Girls Club at a local bar. It was such a great time, and we danced the night away. I am definitely too old to be shutting down the bar at 2am.

Yesterday was a pretty low key day. We slept late, and I lounged on the couch pretty much all day nursing a heck of a headache.

This morning while straightening my hair, I discovered that about half of the right side of my head is full of GRAY hair. I better start purchasing stock in hair dye. Eek! Gerrad was even so kind to point out to me last weekend, how gray my hair was getting. Thanks babe :) And I can't leave out saying thanks to my DAD, who gave me these lovely 'gray hair genes!!!'

Thank you to everyone who has facebooked, text, tweeted, emailed me to wish me a Happy Birthday. You guys are the best, and know how to make a girl feel loved!! Gerrad is working out of town this week, so my dad is taking the girls and I to dinner at my favorite Thai place, and my mom is going to come over and make dinner tomorrow night. Yay for no cooking 2 nights in a row, whoo hoo!

My Baby Turns NINE!!!

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.  She never existed before.  The woman existed, but the mother, never.  A mother is something absolutely new.  ~Rajneesh

Happy 9th Birthday Macie! 9 years ago today, you came roaring into this world, and have kept that same hunger for life, through the years. How can this be? You are growing up WAY too fast in front of my eyes. Becoming a young lady instead of a little girl, changing more and more by the day, all the while leaving behind that 'little girl' you will always be, in my eyes. I am SO proud of the young lady you are becoming. You are full of sass, which is probably why we bump heads so often, we are WAY too much alike. Which lets me know when you grow up you will be a strong, opinionated, independent woman!

Keep reaching for your dreams, I know you will achieve them. You are such a smart girl, and want the world for everyone. You will make the best wife and mother (a LONG time from now), and friend to the luckiest guys and gals in the world. I can't wait to continue to watch you grow, and help nurture you along the way. I love you to the moon and back!!

Today is your day Mace, let's make the most of it!

Birthday Wish List

I've decided to just humor myself and make a fun birthday wish list. Gerrad has assured me he will not be purchasing me either of the 2 'expensive' things I've requested, but I'm still holding out hope. It never hurts to dream right?!

I have been dreaming of getting my hands on one of these bad boys since Christmas. I haven't been able to pull the trigger to buy one, so I put it on my bday wish list this year. We'll see I suppose.
 Some Frye boots... swoon!

A dinner date alone with my favorite, almost 30 yr old, man at my favorite restaurant.

I'd also be happy to accept monetary donations (HA) or gift cards of any kind. Pretty simple list huh? Let's not talk about the price tag on the 2 items on my list :o)

Tomorrow, the girl who first made me a mother, turns 9. NINE. Seriously, how can this be?! Tonight we're headed to dinner and a movie with one of her friends, and one of my gf's to celebrate since the girls' party isn't for a few more weeks. Gerrad so graciously volunteered to hang at home with Addaline, so he didn't have to be tortured with the Glee Concert movie, sweet huh?! HA! I'm ready to rock out to some Glee, and Macie hasn't stopped talking about it for at least a month! Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Out of My Funk...

Blogging funk that is. I haven't blogged in ages, and honestly haven't missed it much (except for all my favorite blogger ladies, who I keep up with on twitter). Our summer has been a whirlwind it seems. I thought it might be a tough summer for Macie and I since I couldn't do a lot to entertain her during the day, but I am SO thankful she was home with me. We had a great summer, and she stayed plenty busy, and Addaline is still as sassy as ever, Lord help us!

So what have we been up to? We took our Disney vacation, the girls had a few rounds of VBS, we did a LOT of swimming, Addaline played some t-ball and did a great job, staying in and keeping cool when it was 8 million degrees outside watching chick flicks while G worked out of town, and our most recent activity included taking the girls on a surprise weekend trip to Omaha, NE to the zoo and to stay at a water park resort. We have made so many amazing memories with the girls this summer, I couldn't have asked for a better few months, and I'm a little sad it's over!

So here's what you could find us up to this summer...

Hanging out in the happiest place on earth

Enjoying a photo-op with their favorite 'fix it' guy

Having a party with some of our favorite people

Finding out that my 3 year old has NO fear when it comes to fireworks and fire

Posing like our usual 'diva-esque- self

Sneaking photo ops with a death grip when your toddler is just 'too busy mom'

Enjoying baby snuggles

Mom's acting like 12 year olds

Playing babies and getting a glimpse of the future 20 years from now

Cheesey smiles because you're just SO excited to be on a new adventure

Savoring the moment of my sweet, not so much my baby anymore, growing girl

Acting like a kiddo posing with your mini-me

Monkey'ing around on the Gorilla's

Taking photos right into the sun causing everyone to have the 'squinty' smile

Taking the precious opportunity when someone finally lets you take her photo and actually smiles

Checking out all the under water life, and being in awe of it all

My first born starting 4th grade, my oh my where has the time gone?

Striking a pose and requesting this photo be sent via text to all her favorite loved ones

Party planning for my favorites... how can it be that they're already this old. Emotional mom moment in progress.

Glad to be back to the place I love to write. Hope you all had a wonderful summer and savored every moment!
