Top 2 Tuesday- Date Night

This week over at The Undomestic Momma's blog, Top 2 Tuesday's topic is Date Night! This is something that Gerrad and I really strive to do monthly. We both feel that it is VERY important to have that time to ourselves to keep connected! We sometimes go on a few date nights a month, but the goal is AT LEAST 1 a month. Sometimes we will have double/triple/ or more date nights with friends, which is equally as important (and fun). Its always fun to spend some time alone, but we also adore being with our friends as well.

1} My favorite date night with Gerrad is when we go to Kansas City and have dinner at my FAVORITE place and go to the movies!

From our most recent date night :)

The BEST RESTAURANT EVER!!!!!
We love going to movies as well!

2} Our date nights with friends! We have such a wonderful group of friends and are SO blessed to be able to do such fun things with everyone. We truly treasure our 'friend date nights.' Anything from bowling, to movies, to comedy shows... its just fun to get away for a little bit and have adult conversations ;)

What are your favorite date nights with your honey?? What are some ways you keep 'the fires burning?'

We try to do date night once a week (when my step-daughter goes to visit her mom). Like you said, it's really important to have alone time!

I need to go to the amc theaters, we got a 20 dollar gift card to there and had no clue where to use it.
I guess we should do that before the baby comes.
Love the cheesecake factory too!

I have a confession...mine and Clintons favorite kind of date night is with our friends...we just love to be with other people! But we love our alone time, too :)

Eat outside! In mid-April all the Chicago restaurants with outdoor seating blossom - that's when it's relatively warm enough and the city allows outdoor liquor service. If you can time it right an outdoor meal coinciding with sunset is toward the top of my romantic date night list.
